Last week we took delivery of a very special book called “Inspire.” It’s a celebration of you, the Pictage community of photographers, and the incredible work you do to capture memories and convey emotions through extraordinary images.

The book has been a passion project for the Pictage team for the last few months. Included in its pages are images from a number of talented Pictage photographers. Some names you will recognize, others may be new to you. Each image was selected for the unique expression of each moment and the composition of the story to be told. The book is the first volume of a new way of communicating at Pictage, so get those images ready for submission for number two!
It’s called “Inspire” because the great work you do every day is an inspiration to us here at Pictage. We also think it’s a neat way to communicate to people who are thinking of being a part of the community, just how inspiring it can be. It will become an important part of our marketing to new members, but we also think it will be a great piece to have on your coffee table.

We think you’ll enjoy it, so we’ve come up with a cool way for you to get a complimentary copy:
1. Follow @PictageBlog on Twitter
2. Tweet about something or someone special that inspires you; feel free to include pics or links, and make sure you include #PictageInspire in the tweet
3. We’ll then direct message you for your mailing address to send you the book
4. We’ll keep it open to get a complimentary book this way until the end of Sunday this week, then the next big opportunity to get one will be at PartnerCon New Orleans November 3-5!
Enjoy, and as always, let us know what you think and feel.
Best,
Simon Anderson

The person that inspires me is my wonderful brother, Bob. He was diagnosed at age 47 with a terminal illness called “Alpha One Anti-Tripsyn Deficiency” (Inherited Emphesema)in 1994 and was told that he had 1 1/2-2 years to live. He is confined to full time oxygen, and is mostly confined to a scooter to get around. He describes taking a shower as feeling like he climbed Pikes Peak. Well…. he’s still with us. He has an attitude that is Unbelievable! He is happy, enjoys every sunrise, every sunset, every moment to it’s fullest. I sometimes whine to myself about my problems, and then I think about him and how he struggles literally to take every breath 24-7. I realize I don’t have it so bad. But if you’d ask him, he’d tell you he doesn’t have it so bad either. He can calm me down no matter how upset I get. He has the utmost faith in God and lives his faith and shares his wonderful attitude with anyone in his presence. I could only wish to be half the wonderful person he is.

I recently posted a tweet regarding my brother Bob being my inspiration. I neglected to put #PictageInspire in the tweet.
